Wesley Shakes is the Co-founder and shares the vision of BBSI with his wife Florence Shakes.

In addition to extensive ministry and Pastoral experience, he also has over 30 years experience as an electrical and mechanical engineer with London Transport. He was awarded and honoured with a high level certificate after passing an exam for electrical installation from City and Guilds London. He also holds a Diploma with honours from the Central Bible Institute in Birmingham and London. This involved an extensive 3 years studying in Systematic Biblical and practical Theology.

His vast ministry experience includes Mental Care, Evangelism, The elderly, Teacher for the Men’s Ministry and working in different high security prisons ministering the word to inmates. Wesley Shakes also ministers the word in a variety of different churches where people are blessed.

Wesley Shakes demonstrates a very strict and discipline faith who helps and encourages others to live by the word, leading by example. He is very effective in his counselling work, which along with his other duties; he does on a regular basis.

Daddy Shakes, as he is well known, has an extremely strong knowledge and understanding of scripture and can refer to a particular scripture to handle any situation when ministering to others.

He is totally devoted and supportive to his wife and the vision and shares the roles and responsibilities with her and together they continue to visit those who are sick and needy in hospitals, care homes and individual’s homes
